Clachnacuddin in the days of Iain Polworth and it looks as though they
have gone into the business of making managerial debuts, with Polly's
first game in charge being a thumping 9-0 win over Lossiemouth.
It took just three minutes for Blair LAWRIE to mark his return with a goal, the winger cut in from the right and curled a left foot shot past goalkeeper Darren McConnachie who was back in the starting line up for the first time this season. The second goal for Clach came on 14 minutes when a rare Lossie attack failed and Clach countered Darren McConnachie was caught out of his goal and fouled Christopher Sutherland but the referee waved play on with the ball dropping to Gordon MCNAB who side footed a shot home from 30 yards. It was 3-0 in the 29th minute when a curling ball into the box lead to Stuart McGregor attempting a weak back header back to keeper and Christopher SUTHERLAND raced in to send a shot under Darren McConnachie. In the 30th minute Sutherland sprung the offside trap but for once he failed to score by placing his right foot shoot wide of the post. Three minutes later Blair LAWRIE made it four nil by chipping it over Darren McConnachie from about 15 yards. Things then went from bad to worse as Adam NAISMITH made it 5-0 with a left foot finish and five minutes before half time Blair LAWRIE made it 6-0 following good work from Andrew Fraser. A first half hat trick in his first game of the season is not bad going! The last chance of the half fell to Calum Read but his left foot effort flew well wide from about 20 yards in what was a desperate attempt for Lossie to try and claw back a goal Half time – Clach 6 Lossiemouth 0 Clach made it seven on the hour and the scorer was Gordon MCNAB who lifted a header over McConnachie after an accurate cross from Chris Sutherland from the left. Lossie had McConnachie to thank after he saved low from Scott Kellacher and McConnachie did keep the score down as much as possible; although nine still isn't a low number. A rare chance for Lossie arrived with 15 minutes to go as David Blackhall chipped a free kick into the box only for Stuart McGregor but he hit wide. It was 8-0 with 10 minutes to go when Neil MACCUISH header home another pin point right footed corner from Chris Sutherland. The final insult to injury came in the 89th minute when David Watson played in Scott KELLACHER who made no mistake in lobbing McConnachie. While nine will have left Iain Polworth feeling fine it was a day to forget for the Coasters. Full time – Clach 9 (Nine) Lossiemouth 0 (And they were lucky to get it) |
