Mark Wood almost put Lossiemouth ahead with a 30 yard free kick that curled inches past the post with James Blanchard scrambling across his goal in what was an early warning for the Banffers.

The reply saw Gary Clark earn a corner for the Vale which was met by Scott Fraser  who attempted to force the ball goal wards but Calum Reid was on hand and he cleared off his own line

Scott Fraser should have had Vale ahead in the 15 minute mark, when a John Coutts ball into the box broke into the path of the centre half but he shot wildly over from 16 yards.

Vale broke the deadlock six minutes later when Michael Ewen did the spade work, racing to the by-line and from his cut back Gary CLARK forced the ball home from close range

David Blackhall's fine forward run and shot was halted by another fine Blanchard save and with Lossie pushing forward they should have drawn level after 32 minutes when they carved the home defence open to leave John Urquhart a clear shot on goal but from 10 yard, however, he somehow dragged his shot wide.

Deveronvale came out a different team in the second half and doubled their advantage seven minutes after the break. Scott Fraser's header across goal was knocked on by Mark Chisholm for Michael EWEN to head beyond Craig Masterton from a couple of yards.

Vale then went further ahead after 55 minutes when Mark CHISHOLM was left with a tap in after the Lossie keeper could only palm a deflected shot from Brian Dlugonski into the Vale skipper's path.

John Coutts and Paul Urquhart came close to adding to Vale's tally before Michael EWEN grabbed his second of the afternoon and Vale's fourth, six minutes from time turning in a Paul Munro pass
