Lossiemouth v Forres Mechanics
Managerless Forres Mechanics came to Lossie looking for a morale boosting win, and they got just that with a fine second half display ensuring the three points returned to Mosset Park.
In the 6th minute a long Stevie Dunn goal kick was flicked on by Darren Shalliker releasing Shawn Scott who lashed his effort over the bar from 12 yards out. A minute later Shaun Noble laid it back to Steven Ellis and from 25 yards he fired a thunderbolt off the crossbar but fortunately for Forres if rebounded out of play.
The visitors first opening saw full back Gary Black race down the right before cutting it across to Scott Matheson who blasted wide from all of six yards out. It was a towsly affair that was crying out for a goal.
That goal finally came shortly after the hour mark when Gary Black's cross from the right was met by former Lossiemouth player Mike Morrison and he rose to head past Stevie Dunn from eight yards out.
Forres doubled their advantage and once again Gary Black was the key figure. He drove down right wing before cutting inside and slotting the ball into the back of the net with ease.
The Mechanics were now purring and Andy Matheson displayed the confidence that was beginning to flow around the team firing the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the net from the edge of the area.
The scoring was completed with just 3 minutes to go when Neil Whyte raced down the right and swung in a ball that proved too much for Shaun Noble to resist, the Lossie man heading it
spectacularly past his own goalie for the Can Cans fourth of the game.
