Lossiemouth FC - New Stand for Grant Park

17-Jul-2010 New stand now open....
The new stand was opened this weekend when a Dundee United XI visited Grant Park for a pre-season friendly. The guests scored the first goal in front of the new stand as they ran out 3-1 winners, but the pick of the goals came from Shawn Scott who scored an overhead goal from the edge of the penalty area.

After 60 years towering over almost as many home wins, the famous Grant Park grandstand is to be demolished and replaced. The old stand has been patched up and repaired many times, but increasing costs have finally pushed the club into building a replacement. The club are looking to purchase a 150-seater structure similar to that recently installed by Formartine United ahead of their first season in the Highland League and Lossie will look to raise the necessary funds by holding fundraising games, a dinner later in the year, and by selling individual seats for life in the stand for £100 each.

Over the summer, you can keep an eye on how work is progressing by returning to this page, which will be updated regularly once demolition begins. News on how to purchase a seat for life and more details on fundraising events will appear when they have been confirmed.
