Fixture update

Lossiemouth have been scheduled to play Brora Rangers on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015, with a 2000hrs KO. The fixture was initially scheduled for earlier in the season but was postponed due to Brora’s participation in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

This will be the sides first meeting of the season. Brora ran out 3-0 winners when the sides met at Grant Park last season.

Fixture update

Lossiemouth have been scheduled to play Buckie Thistle on Saturday, January 24th, 2015, with a 1500hrs KO. The fixture was initially scheduled for the weekend after Christmas but was cancelled due to a frozen pitch.

The sides met last week at Victoria Park, Buckie where Lossiemouth were 4-2 winners.

 

Transfer news – Bryan Bell returns

Lossiemouth have completed the signing of Bryan Bell, who has inked a deal to take him back to Grant Park following a spell out of the country.

Bell left Lossie for Shepperton South in Australia and scored in one of his first games for the club, only to break his leg the following week.

Bell will go straight into the squad for this weekends game away to Nairn County following his return from injury.

 

Management team update – Charlie Charlesworth returns

Lossiemouth can announce the return of Charlie Charlesworth to position of manager.

Charlesworth was previously in charge at Grant Park between January 2008 and May 2012 before departing to take over at Deveronvale. A popular figure at the club, Charlesworth reorganised the team and hauled them from close to bottom of the league to mid-table respectability, with a Highland League Cup semi-final thrown in for good measure.

His first game will be away to Nairn County this weekend coming (08/11).

Transfer news – Ross Archibald returns on loan

Ross Archibald has returned to Lossiemouth from Forres Mechanics on a loan deal. The youngster left Lossie in early 2013 for Mosset Park and has returned for an initial period of one month.

Ross is eligible to play against Fraserburgh this coming midweek (29/10).

Fixture update

Please note that due to their continuing participation in this seasons William Hill Scottish Cup, Brora Rangers visit to Grant Park on Saturday, November 1st has been postponed. Also, Lossiemouth v Fraserburgh, previously scheduled for Saturday September 20th, has been rearranged for the evening of Wednesday, October 29th. KO at 2000hrs.

Management team update

After meeting with the committee and players this evening (Monday, October 6th) the club have placed coach Ryan Green and Captain Kevin Flett in charge for the next 3 games while the managers position is advertised.

Applications are invited for the post of Manager and any interested candidates must have current coaching certificates to meet SFA entry level license. Application should be submitted to lossiemouthfc@highlandleague.com

Management duo depart

Lossiemouth FC club official Alan McIntosh tonight confirmed that manager Steve Dunn and assistant Jim Stables both resigned after the team lost at Fort William earlier today.

McIntosh said: “They said that they had taken the squad as far as they could and intimated that fresh faces were needed at the club both on the park and at management level. I thanked them for their time at the club and their commitment over the last few seasons, wishing them all the best in the future.

“The committee will be meeting on Monday night to see how we can take the club forward and to find a new management team.”
